$60K in equipment stolen from Buda trailer lot

Hays County Crime Stoppers are aiding the Buda Police Department (BPD) concerning the theft of more than $60,000 of equipment earlier this month from Big Tex Trailer Company, located at 14620 Interstate-35 in Buda.

Between 3 p.m. on Nov. 7 and 8 a.m. on Nov. 8, unknown persons broke into Big Tex by cutting a large hole in the fence.  The unknown suspects then proceeded to steal a black 14 LX dump trailer, a black 5X10 dump trailer, a 14 PI flatbed trailer, a white Cargo Mate V-nose 16X7X10 trailer, a Westward 3VB60 air compressor, a Miller Mac 180 auto welder, and multiple hand tools and fasteners

BPD investigators have no leads and seek help to locate the stolen items and suspects.

Anyone with information that could help the BPD is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 324-TIPS (8477). Anyone whose information leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspect(s), will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. All calls are  confidential, all callers will remain anonymous, and callers do not have to give their names and or testify in court.

Big Tex also is offering a $15,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects in this case and the recovery of the stolen merchandise. If this case is solved, Big Tex will be responsible for the distribution of its reward funds.
