The end of another college football season is at hand at Texas State, which will kick off for the last time in 2010 Saturday at Sam Houston State to take up the rivalry.
The Bobcats lost their chance to salvage a winning season last week with a 36-6 loss at McNeese State. Texas State is 4-6 overall and 1-5 in the Southland Conference.
The only way Texas State can if finish the season out of the Southland Conference cellar is if it wins and Southeastern Louisiana loses at home Saturday against Nicholls State. Southeastern Louisiana also is 1-5 in the league, with a 49-24 win against the Bobcats on Oct. 9.
Sam Houston State is 3-3 in the league and 5-5 overall, playing for a chance to card a winning season in both respects with a win Saturday against the Bobcats.
