KYLE — Lanny Lambert is the choice to be the next city manager of Kyle.
Kyle City Councilmembers met in executive session Tuesday night and came out with a decision to negotiate with Lambert, who emerged as the leading candidate from among three finalists.
The final interview process included a meet-and-greet with the finalists and Kyle citizens Monday, then executive session interviews Tuesday.
The other finalists were Kyle Interim City Manager James Earp and Palestine City Manager Dale Brown. Wharton City Manager Andres Garza withdrew from consideration before Tuesday’s executive session.
Lambert has been the city manager in Leon Valley since 2007.
Earp has served as interim city manager since April, when Tom Mattis resigned as city manager after eight years on the job.Email | Print
