The San Marcos Public Library, 625 East Hopkins Street, will again hold a workshop on the basics of personal credit Monday at 7 p.m. “Understanding Your Credit Report” is free and open to the public, but the class is limited to 25 students on a first come-first served basis.
Participants will learn how to build good credit, prevent identity theft and repair bad credit. The class is part of an ongoing series sponsored by the San Marcos Housing Authority, Friends of the Library and the San Marcos Public Library.
Attendees also will receive free copies of the personal finance software Quicken Starter Edition.
