The public is invited to the San Marcos American Legion Hall, 1705 Interstate 35 N., for snacks and games from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Veterans Day, Thursday, Nov. 11. According to San Marcos American Legion Post 144 Commander Tom Tvrdik, there will be no formal program. Instead, it will be a time for veterans and their families to get together to reminisce and reflect on their years in the military.
There is no charge for admission and everyone is welcome, Tvrdik said. For members of Post 144 and American Legion Auxiliary 144, the afternoon session will replace their regular monthly meeting.Email | Print
