San Marcos police are looking for a man who tried to rob a woman at gunpoint in the Chili’s parking lot in late September.
At about 10:45 p.m. Sept. 27, a woman was leaving the restaurant, located on the Interstate 35 access road at Texas 123. A man jumped from behind a car, put a gun in her face and ordered her to give him her keys. He fled south on foot when other customers leaving the restaurant came within view of the gunman.
He is described as a 25- to 30-year-old Hispanic male, 5’6: to 5’7″, wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and a white bandana over his nose and mouth. His gun is described as a large, black semi-automatic pistol.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crime to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-324-8477.
The agency is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspect.
Callers can remain anonymous, police say.
