The Hays County Commissioners Court has scheduled a public meeting to share preliminary information on a study conducted about current and future wastewater needs in the county. The meeting is slated for Nov. 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Dripping Springs City Hall, 511 Mercer Street.
The study has already assessed current conditions and water/wasterwater service demand and supplies. Alternative forecasts of future growth, associated service needs, current and future unmet needs have also been assessed with management strategies to meet those needs.
Preliminary recommendations for water management actions needed in the next 50 years have also been compiled.
The county has plans to issue a draft report for public comment in December and will hold another public meeting in January. The final report is slated for release in February.
Funding for the study was supported by Texas Water Development Board and 10 regional and local government entities and utilities with jurisdictions in the planning area.
An information packet summarizing the initial results of the study is available from the office of the Hays County Grant Administrator Jeff Hauff by calling (512) 393-2209 or by email at email@example.com.Email | Print
