The Central Texas Medical Center’s (CTMC) Institute for Healthy Living hosts a variety of programs centered on diet, exercise and support for a healthy lifestyle. CTMC also hosts a Weight Watchers program that helped its 25 participants gain results and lose a total of 175 during the the last 17 weeks.
The Weight Watchers group meets every Tuesday from noon-1 p.m. in the Community Classroom at CTMC’s Professional Office Building, 1301 Wonder World Drive. An open house will be held there on Nov. 2 at noon for anyone wanting to know more about the program.
“The Weight Watchers program has been a tremendous success in our community and we are thrilled to offer this series,” said Institute for Healthy Living Operations Coordinator Jessica Mease. “Weight Watchers can teach people how to live a healthier lifestyle with the help of a supportive and caring environment.”
Weight Watchers (WW) meetings feature private weigh-ins, topics presented by WW leaders, recipe tips, group discussion and support.
Other CTMC programs helping participants to lead healthier lives include the Diabetes Support Group, Way 2 Go Kids and aquatics programs.
