Texas State’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication is hosting “Mass Comm Week,” a four day event taking place this week.
The week features more than 60 speakers who will discuss the trends and issues in mass media. The theme for 2010’s Mass Comm Week is
Said Director of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication Bruce Smith, “Mass Comm Week allows our students to meet professionals working the field and learn about the latest media trends and innovations. Media are changing, and we want to ensure our students are prepared.”
The event focuses on sustainability in the media with speakers’ topics ranging from sustaining print and broadcast media to explaining new media innovations and the impact of social media.
Speakers will be featured at both the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and the events are open to the general public.
