Chamber cuts ribbon for McDonald House

San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors welcomes Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas.

San Marcos Chamber ambassadors held a Ribbon Cutting ceremony for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas last month at the Chamber offices.

Beverly Seffel, Director of Community Relations for McDonald House, was surrounded by ambassadors while she cut the ceremonial ribbon.

This year the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Austin and Central Texas celebrating 25 years of providing families living in and around San Marcos, who have seriously ill or injured children, with a safe and supportive “home away from home” near their hospitalized children. The house is a place where family members can relax, have meals, connect with other families in similar situations, and get a night’s rest. The house is committed to finding and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families.
