SUBMITTED REPORTS

The first ever Keep San Marcos Beautiful Fall concert series continues to be scheduled at 7  p.m. on Thursday.

The location is set for San Marcos Plaza Park with Van Wilks and special guest Adam Johnson and the Red Rooster Revue.

In  Austin, Texas, a city known for its great guitarists, Van Wilks has  long been lauded as one of the city’s master players. His talents as a  guitarist and band leader have won him consistent critical praise and a string of  honors alongside the state’s most legendary musical talents.

Van  Wilks has toured nationally and internationally with such acts  as ZZ Top (whose Billy Gibbons is one of Van’s biggest supporters) and torn the roof off night clubs and concert halls from international locations such as the Virgin Islands, Moscow, Paris, Madrid and countless points all over  Europe.

The KSMB Fall concert series, in its inaugural year, features weekly  acts continuing tonight and every Thursday evening ending Oct. 28. The  event hosts a variety of art and eco booths as well.

All concerts are held at the San Marcos Plaza Park stage located at the  corner of C.M. Allen Pkwy and Hopkins Street. Food sales are provided by  the local Boy Scout Pack 1954 and refreshments will be again provided  by Tantra Coffee
House.

Organizers invite guests to bring blankets and lawn chairs for each night of free musical entertainment to include an array of art and eco opportunities.

The event is presented by Keep San Marcos Beautiful, TallMan Records, Texas Commission on the Arts, the San Marcos Arts Commission, San Marcos Parks and Recreation, the Chamber of Commerce Green Living Showcase and Full Circle
Salon.
