Free concert at San Marcos Library features the StandOuts

The StandOuts will play an acoustic concert at the San Marcos Public Library Wednesday night.


The San Marcos Public Library, 725 East Hopkins Street, will feature the popular local band the StandOuts playing an acoustic set on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The StandOuts are an independent pop/groove band that plays covers and original songs. Their verve and energy have made them a favorite in Austin and San Marcos.

The band consists of  vocalist/bass player Junior Scott, vocalist/guitarist Philip Prasek, frontman/guitarist Andrew Howard and drummer Johnny Ballistic. All of the band members write songs or contribute to their original songs collaboratively.

Library concerts are smoke-free.

The StandOuts next local gig will be at the Gray Horse Saloon, 2904 RR12, on Oct. 17th at 9 p.m.
