Geronimo VFW seeks entrants for cook-off

STAFF REPORT

The Geronimo VFW, 6808 North SH 123, is looking for a few good cooks — chili and bean cooks, that is, for the yearly Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI) sanctioned cook-off Oct. 2-3.

There is a $20 chili entry fee and a $10 fee for jackpot beans (dry pinto beans.) Campers are welcome. There are some limited  electrical outlets available.

The beans turn-in time is noon, chili turn-in time is 1 p.m.

Proceeds from the event benefit the VFW’s military assistance and scholarship programs.
