One of the big early events of the campaign season takes place on Sept. 7, when local law enforcement groups will hold their candidate forum.
The forum, sponsored by the Hill Country Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 23 and the Hays County Law Enforcement Association (HCLEA), will take place at 7 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 3105 RR 12, just west of San Marcos.
Most of the countywide offices up for election will be addressed at the debate. Candidates who have been invited include those for county judge, commissioner for precincts 2 and 4, county sheriff, County Court at Law No. 1 judge and 428th District Court judge.
The public is invited to attend the forum to hear the candidates present their platforms, followed by a series of questions prepared by the members of the FOP and HCLEA.Email | Print
