Popular local artist Veronique Hahn will begin offering art lessons at the Price Senior Center beginning September 1. The lessons will consist of art, history, culture and anthropology—which feature in her paintings as well as drawing and painting. The lessons will be on Monday and Friday mornings at the Price Senior Center, 222 W. Antonio Street and will last from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. She will focus on representational art to abstract art.
The costs of the lessons will be $18 per hour each participant. The dates are Sept. 1 and 3, Sept. 8 and 10. Sept. 15 & 17, Sept. 22 and 24 and Sept. 29 and Oct. 1.Most of the work will be done with acrylics.
One of America’s newest citizens, Hahn was born in Casablanca, Morocco to Swiss parents and grew up in both countries as well as Holland and the U.S.A. She has exhibited her works in France, Germany, Austria and America. She currently has a display in New York, N.Y. and has had several exhibits in San Marcos and Wimberley.
She is listed at the Swiss Institute of Art Research. Her experiences have led her to work cross-culturally, reflecting her search for the best in each culture, and illustrated and helped write children’s books.
