Luncheon intended to provide school supplies

The San Marcos Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Greater San Marcos Youth Council (GSMYC) invite the public to attend the “Back to School Luncheon”  Thursday at the Embassy Suites Conference Center, 1001 East McCarty Lane, from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 pm.

The guest speaker will be U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett (D-Austin). Those wishing to attend the luncheon should RSVP to (512) 722-6109 or email admin@sanmarcoshispanic.com to attend.

The Back to School Luncheon also is a school supplies drive for needy San Marcos students. School supplies provided will help Broadway Bank’s “Project Stuff the Bus”.

Financial contributions for school supplies can be mailed to Greater San Marcos Youth Council School Supplies Drive, P.O. Box 1455 San Marcos, TX 78667. Supplies may also be dropped off at the GSMYC Counseling and Resource Center,1402 Interstate-35 North, or Broadway Bank, 301 North C.M. Allen Parkway.
