San Marcos Academy (SMA) has announced an agreement to partner with Chick-Fil-A of San Marcos as the official corporate sponsor of the academy’s volleyball and basketball programs.
The Bears will open their 2010-2011 volleyball season on Aug. 19 against Summit Christian Academy on SMA’s newly named Chick-Fil-A Court. The Bears are coached by Jennifer Jannett.
Basketball season will get underway in November with Kelia Price coaching the boys team and Toby Wade leading the girls team. The coaches will wear the Chick-Fil-A name and logo on their shirts.
“It is great how so many local companies have supported us in our growth in the community,” said Wade, the school’s athletic director. “We are truly thankful for Jon and his staff and their support of San Marcos Academy.”
Said Chick-Fil-A Owner Jon Sprencel, “We look forward to partnering with SMA, both athletically and academically. Our company values the community, and by supporting the school, not just athletically, but also in other avenues, we are able to carry out our companies’ beliefs.”
