Crockett students win reading awards

Jessica Holechek, Sidney LaBuhn and Monica Pavla, fifth graders at Crockett  Elementary School, were recently recognized for their outstanding achievements in Crockett’s accelerated reading program.

LaBuhn was the top point-earner, racking up 460 points for her reading efforts. Her favorite reading matter is the Cat Clan Warrior adventures by Erin Hunter and James Patterson’s Maximum Ride science-fiction/fantasy books.

Pavia’s 389 points put her in second place for her reading achievements. She likes the vampire series with her favorite being Night World by L.J. Smith.

Holecheck followed closely behind Pavia with 381 points. She also enjoys the Maximum Ride series, as well as fantasy books and the vampire series.
