A block of Comanche Street between Woods and Lindsey Streets will be closed starting Monday, May 24, to complete street repaving, manhole coatings and associated restriping due to a recent wastewater line installation. These are the final punch list items for the project.
This section of Comanche will remain closed to through traffic for several days. Traffic will be detoured to North Guadalupe, Pat Garrison, and West Woods Street.
Residents in the construction zone will have access to all driveways and mailboxes during the construction. City officials ask drivers to use caution in and around construction zones.
Following completion of this final repaving and striping, construction of a new 12-inch water line on Comanche from W. Hutchinson Street to W. Martin Luther King Drive will begin. This section of Comanche will be closed to through-traffic for approximately four weeks.
