Hill Country Christian School recently competed in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) 1A South Regional Track meet in West Columbia, where two students placed in the competition for a chance at the state meet.
Qualifying for the state meet were Micah Ray and Winnie Hatcher. Ray, a sophomore, took third place in the 800-meter run. Hatcher, a junior, qualified with a fourth place showing in the 400-meter run. Hatcher also competed in the 400-meter dash.
Other Hill Country Christian School students competing at the regional meet include Amy Norvell, Sadie Stone, Becca Whitaker and Eben Hanaway in the 100- and 200-meter dash. Tolya Hansen ran in the 800-meter and 1,600-meter run.
The TAPPS State track meet will be held May 7-8 at the Hart-Patterson Complex at Baylor University.Email | Print
