Representatives of the League of Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council 654 celebrate the 35th year of Cinco De Mayo festivities in San Marcos with Mayor Susan Narvaiz and members of the city council. This year marks the 148th anniversary of the start of the Mexican Revolution on May 5.
“Viva Cinco de Mayo” will take place at the Hays County Civic Center, 755 Civic Center Loop, from April 30- May 2. The event features the State Mendo Cook-off, local bands, food, Folklorico dancers, arts and crafts booths and a Little Miss Cinco de Mayo Pageant. Musical guests include Grupo Fantasma, Los Enmascarados and Conjunto Romo.
The traditional “Viva Cinco de Mayo ” parade will go through downtown on May 1 at 9 a.m.Email | Print
