San Marcos High School speech and debate team honored

STAFF REPORT

The San Marcos High School speech and debate team was honored by the city after winning the University Interscholastic League (UIL) district championship. The team sent a record number of students to the regional competition.

The team scored more points than all of the competing district schools combined at this year’s competition. The regional championship meet will take place in Huntsville on April 23-24.
