Utility work will cut electricity for Hughson Heights neighborhood

SUBMITTED REPORT

The City of San Marcos Public Services Department, Electric Utility Division will turn off power to a portion of Hughson Heights from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 8, to replace an electrical junction pole.

The electric outage will affect an estimated 76 homes on East and West Sierra Circle, Crest Drive, Sierra Vista, Potomac Circle, Manor Park Road, and Hill Drive. Several homes on Hughson Drive, Craddock and Camaro Way near Sierra Circle will also be affected.

Electric Utility workers are distributing flyers to notify residents of the planned power outage. The junction pole carries a major electrical line serving the neighborhood. The old pole will be replaced by a new pole in a utility easement near 131 and 135 W. Sierra Circle.
