The Miller Middle School Dancing Diamonds glittered and dazzled at the recent HTEDance Texas State Competition at Austin’s Akins High School.
The Diamonds brought home a treasure chest full of awards, walking off with the grand champion awards for both the team and the officers divisions.
The team won seven different first place awards including team kick, team pom, team lyrical, officer lyrical, officer jazz, officer novelty and jazz.
Olivia Neal, Jenna Judkins and Brooke Brophy brought home the first place Trio Award while Maddison Stovall was honored with the Miss High Kick Award.
Mallory Swinney won a first place soloist award and Jenna Judkins was awarded a third place award for the soloist category.
The Dancing Diamonds team won awards for best presentation, outstanding showmanship, outstanding choreographer officer and team, and both the officer and the team sweepstakes. They were also honored as team and officer division champions.
