Trio Del Rio to give free performance at library

032910trioTrio Del Rio will play a free concert at the San Marcos Public Library on Tuesday.

The San Marcos Public Library, 625 East Hopkins Street, will present a free concert by Trio Del Rio Tuesday at 7 p.m. The public in invited to attend.

Trio Del Rio is an eclectic mix of swing, jazz, blues, Latin, R&B and Texas music. The band is comprised of Mary Ann Price, George Brown-Lohr and MariLisa and Tanner Swain.

Each band member has a celebrated history. Price is a former member of Asleep at the Wheel and has seven solo CDs under her musical belt. She was inducted into both the Texas Music Hall of Fame and the Western Swing Hall of Fame. The Swains are a critically acclaimed song writing team.  All of the musicians in the band have been featured at the South by Southwest Music Conference and Festival.

Trio Del Rio is busily recording five new songs before leaving the area for a tour of the east coast, so it is cutting back on local performances. The free concert at the library is, therefore, a rare treat.
