The characters Stanley and Martha are “technologically challenged” in the play “Technical Tsunami” being staged by the Second Act Troupe.
The popular Second Act Troupe returns to San Marcos in “Dealing With Life,” a trio of one-act comedies revolving around life’s little flaws and foibles.
The Price Seniors Center, 222 West San Antonio, will host the performances which will take place Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. An optional dinner at the Price Center will be served at 6:30 p.m.
The three one-act comedic plays featured are “Technical Tsunami,” “Hello Ma!” and “Riverview, Tape 23.”
In “Technical Tsunami,” a couple is technologically challenged by current communications tools. “Hello Ma!” deals with a woman who cannot decide which of her two suitors to marry and calls “Ma” for advice. In “Riverview, Tape 23” a magazine reporter interviews residents of a nursing home for an article on the “good old days” and gets an earful of the truth from a spunky resident.
The Second Act Troupe is a company of seasoned professionals that produces several productions each year. The Price Center stage’s intimacy is a particularly good match for the kind of plays the highly skilled troupe produces.
Tickets for the play with dinner are $22 and tickets for the play only are $12. Dinner patrons are invited to bring a bottle of wine, should they want it, for their meals.
