Texas music history lives at concert

031810sistersThe Sisters Morales will be featured at the 10th Annual Texas Music History Unplugged Concert.

The 10th annual Texas Music History Unplugged Concert will take place from 8-10 p.m. Tuesday at the LBJ Student Center Ballroom on the campus of Texas State.

The concert, sponsored by the Center for Texas Music History in the Department of History at the university, is free and open to the public. Seating, however, will be limited.

This year’s concert will feature performances and discussion by Ray Benson, the Sisters Morales, Cody Canada, Raul Malo, W.C. Clark and others.

The concert series brings prominent Texas musicians to perform and talk about Texas music history and the cultural development of the Southwest.
