San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce (SMACC) Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony for Chick-fil-A on March 4.

Store owner Jon Sprencel was joined by his wife, employees, chamber ambassadors and community members to cut the ceremonial ribbon. Event participants were treated to free chicken sandwich and even got to meet the Chick-fil-A cow.

“First of all I’d like to say what a great privilege it is to work with the Chick-fil-A family” said Sprencel. “It is also a great blessing to be able to have our location here in San Marcos, Texas. We have heard from so many that people have been anticipating our arrival. Well, we have waited a long time for this day, and we are so honored to be a part of this community. We hope to have many wonderful years together.”

The restaurant is located at 2213 South Interstate-35 in San Marcos just in front of Lowe’s.
