The Texas State drama “teachers” from last year’s workshop. They are students of both theater and education.
The Texas State student branch of the Association for Childhood Education International will host its sixth annual Creative Dramatic Workshop on March 20. The workshop for children aged 6-10 goes from 10 a.m.-noon at the Theatre Center at Texas State. The cost of the workshop is $10 per child.
The event is taught by university students under the direction of Texas State faculty member Charles Pascoe, who is a professor of child drama, the director of children’s theatre and a noted children’s playwright. He will lead the students in creative dramatic activities.
Parents are asked to drop their children off after registering them and to return at the end of the workshop. Students should wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes.
Organizers of the event caution that space is limited and the class fills up fast, so early registration is necessary.
