In honor of George Washington’s 278th birthday on Feb. 22, San Marcos Mayor Susan Narvaiz issued a proclamation celebrating the day. Washington was cited for his “courage, wisdom and vision that created a nation.”
Representatives of the William Hightower Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution and the Captain Thomas Moore Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution were on hand to accept the honor.
