Hays County invites the public to attend and participate in a public meeting to review County plans for roadway safety improvements to County Road 266 (Old Bastrop Highway).
The project is funded with bond sale proceeds approved by Hays County voters in November 2008 and includes reconstruction to two 12-foot lanes, addition of 6- to 10-foot shoulders and the preservation of right-of-way for future upgrades between Centerpoint Road and Francis Harris Lane (about 1.9 miles).
Maps illustrating the improvement plans will be available for review at the public meeting and staff will be available to respond to comments and questions.
The meeting will be held 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 at Bowie Elementary School Cafeteria, 4020 Monterrey Oak in San Marcos.
