The Texas State women’s basketball team captured its second win of the Southland Conference season Thursday, notching a 62-50 decision against Nicholls State at Strahan Coliseum.
The Bobcats made 21 of 32 free-throw attempts as they improved to 6-17 overall and 2-10 in the Southland Conference. The game broke a last-place tie in the league and Nicholls now has sole possession at 4-20 and 1-11.
Kelsey Krupa led Texas State with 17 points, followed by Diamond Ford with 14 and Victoria Davis with 11. Ford made two straight three-pointers, increasing the Texas State lead from 36-32 to 42-32.
The Bobcats will play Wednesday night at Stephen F. Austin.Email | Print
