San Marcos city officials are holding a public meeting Wednesday, 6:30 p.m., at the San Marcos Activity Center (501 East Hopkins Street) to gather input concerning proposed changes to the city’s land development code.
City staff will conduct the workshop, led by the development services department. Among the sections of the land development code that are on the table are those pertinent to parking standards, tree preservation standards, mixed use zoning districts, planned development districts, design standards for residential development, water quality standards and an Interstate-35 overlay district ordinance.
The city is inviting all interested residents and stakeholders to attend.
The land development code governs all development in the city limits and the city’s 3.5-mile extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ), including zoning, subdivision, watershed protection, site planning, and construction permitting.
