STAFF REPORT

Classic Cuts of San Marcos is providing complimentary first haircuts to the first 100 babies born at Central Texas Medical Center in the new decade.

Classic Haircuts co-owner Brian Olson said, “We know what a big milestone getting a first haircut can be. That’s why we commemorate the occasion with a certificate and provide the parent with a sealed lock of hair. The airplane chairs located at each location help make that first haircut comfortable and memorable for the children.”

Classic Haircuts is no stranger to helping children. It partners with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) providing haircuts for children who have been neglected. It’s often a first-time experience for the youngsters. Classic Cuts also gives free haircuts in partnership with programs through Locks of Love and the San Marcos City Council.

Co-owner Sabin Steinbacher said, “As a local business, we recognize the need to give back to our community, especially during these tough economic times. Sometimes a simple affordable haircut is all you need to feel like you’re getting a fresh start. We want to be a part of the positive change in peoples lives.”

Premier Cuts and Classic Cuts have locations in San Marcos, Kyle and Round Rock. In San Marcos, Classic Cuts can be found at 1515 Aquarena Springs Drive. The Kyle and Round Rock locations are in H-E-B shopping centers.
