San Marcos police are investigating the circumstances of an early Saturday morning altercation which has claimed the life of a 19-year-old Wimberley man.
Police responded at 2:56 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9 to Central Texas Medical Center where two friends had taken 19-year-old Christopher Blab of Wimberley with a head injury. He was transported by helicopter to Brackenridge Hospital in Austin.
Blab died around 6 p.m. Sunday.
San Marcos detectives are continuing their investigation into the incident at an apartment complex in the 1600 block of N. IH 35. According to police, Blab was injured as the result of an altercation during which he fell and struck his head.
Following their investigation, detectives will turn the case over to the Hays County District Attorney’s office for review.
