The Texas State men’s basketball scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Texas-Arlington (UTA) has been moved to 1 p.m. from 7 p.m. to avoid conflicts with the Dallas Cowboys’ first-round NFL playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Cowboys Stadium.
The Cowboys and Eagles are scheduled for 4 p.m. at Cowboys Stadium. The UTA campus is a main parking area for Cowboys Stadium employees. By moving the basketball game up to 1 p.m., fans wishing to attend the basketball game will be spared parking problems.
The Bobcats, 6-8, have won three straight as they begin their Southland Conference schedule against UTA. Texas State defeated Oklahoma Panhandle State, 69-57, Tuesday night at Strahan Coliseum.
The last time Texas State had a three-game winning streak in men’s basketball was 2002-03, when they began the season with ten straight wins.
UTA, 7-5, is on a four-game winning streak.
Texas State will return home next Wednesday night to play Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (7 p.m.), then they will play at home against Central Arkansas next Saturday (Jan. 16) at 4 p.m.Email | Print
