Arts Council invites artists to submit works

STAFF REPORT
Artists in the area are invited to submit their interpretation of the theme “Hands On” for an upcoming exhibit at the Walkers Gallery at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 East Hopkins Street. The exhibit is sponsored by the San Marcos Area Arts Council.
Artists may submit up to five small (11 x 14 inch or smaller) or three large (larger than 11 x 14 inch) works in any medium, including photography and 3-D work (including stained glass) and/or any 3-D work that can be safely hung on a wall in a public venue.
Artwork should be framed and ready to hang. A $3 entry fee will be charged for each work submitted to defray the costs of the reception. Due to the public nature of the venue, nudes, violence or material inappropriate for children will not be considered for exhibition.
Artwork needs to be delivered to the activity center Saturday, Jan. 9 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
The art must be available for the entire length of the exhibit which will be Jan. 15-Feb. 26.
