Library offers personal finances workshop

The San Marcos Public Library, 625 East Hopkins Street, is offering a free workshop on personal finances just in time to help with that new year’s resolution to get control of your credit and bank account. Taking Control of Your Personal Finances, at 7 p.m on Jan. 11, will show participants the basics of personal credit and its affect on their lives.

The workshop will teach how to build good credit, prevent identity theft and repair bad credit. Participants will receive free copies of Quicken Starter Edition.

The workshop is being sponsored by the San Marcos Public Library, the San Marcos Housing Authority, and the Friends of the Library.
