Library buzzes over January workshop

STAFF REPORT

The San Marcos Public Library, 625 East Hopkins Street, is hosting a honey of an event in the month of January, when the San Marcos Area Bee Wranglers will offer a free four-session workshop.

The topics for the workshop include bee biology, basic beekeeping equipment, honey production, Central Texas honey plants and many more bee facts.

Participants will be encouraged to start their own colonies. A list of reputable suppliers will be provided. It is recommended that students taking the workshop purchase a $12 textbook that will be used in class. The books will be available for purchase at the first session.

Students will also receive handouts covering the topics in the workshop. Registration is required for the event, as there is limited seating for the workshop.
