Council sends off Couch

During a break at Wednesday’s city council meeting, San Marcos City Councilmembers honored departing colleague Pam Couch, who is leaving after three years on the council, including a year as Mayor Pro Tem. Couch was honored for her service.

She also unveiled her name on the plaque at City Hall containing the names of all the citizens who have served in Place 5 on the council since the adoption of the home rule charter in 1967.

Couch’s successor, the newly elected Ryan Thomason, will be sworn in next week.

  1. Shaune Maycock told me in reference to this comment that elected officials should be lap dog to no one except maybe the people whom they are serving.
