STAFF REPORT
The Phoenix Academy had a “stormy” guest on Dec. 15, when Adam Kruegar of News8Austin brought the Storm Cruiser to the school as part of a science class with teacher Gayle Rhoades.
The customized Dodge Grand Carvan sports a 12-foot LED sign on top and full array of weather instruments which provide temperature, heat index, wind chill, wind speed, wind direction, gusts and more.
Kruegar spoke to the students about the vehicle and then demonstrated the computer, TV displays and video players in the mobile classroom.
That s very cool. How interesting that must have been. Thank you Adam and News 8!
