The mission of Latinitas is to empower Latina youth through technology and media. It is a non-profit organization devoted to informing, entertaining and inspiring young Latinas to grow into healthy, successful and confident adults.
Latinitas magazine is the first digital magazine made for and by Latina youth. Founded in Austin in 2002 in Austin by Laura Donelly, it has the goal of enabling Latina girls to reach out in a positive way to their communities.
Latinitas is hoping to distribute hard copies of the newsletter so that more girls can be aware of the organization. More information can be found at www.latinitasmagazine.com.
This would be the perfect kind of thing to list on Ooh.com – I’ve just heard about the event over twitter. We’ve love someone running it to set up an Ooh.com listing to promote it for free! Kudos to the organisers – this is a great idea.
