STAFF REPORT

The San Marcos City Council formally opened the new Rio Vista Tennis courts at Rio Vista Park on Dec. 5.

The new courts replace those originally built 35 years ago with a grant from the H-E-B Tennis Foundation in 1974. The project was funded by $414,126 from the City of San Marcos and $200,000 in Hays County park bonds.

The facility includes six concrete tennis courts, shade canopies, benches, windscreens, a practice backboard, water fountain, bicycle rack and perimeter irrigation system.
