Diamonds and Stars dance while the band plays on

Lots of holiday music will be made and dances will be done before school is officially out for the holidays. Parents who have children in several different schools will be in a whirl of activity during the next couple of weeks.

Here are several of the upcoming events.

The Dancing Diamond Winter Show will be on Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. at Miller Middle School Gym. The show features the Miller Dancing Diamonds, Miller Middle School dance classes, Dancing Diamond Officers and SMHS Diamond Line Officers.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. Tickets can be purchased in advance of the event or at the door on the night of the show. For more information, call Holly Hess at (512) 393-6629.

The Dancing Stars Winter Show will be held on Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. at Goodnight Middle School Auditorium. The show features the Dancing Stars Dance Team, the Goodnight Middle School dance classes and the very busy San Marcos High School (SMHS) Diamond Line.

The San Marcos CISD Winter Band Concert will be held on Dec. 8 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the San Marcos High School Performing Arts Center. The event will feature band students from grades 6-12. There will also be a silent auction and an opportunity to take pictures with Santa.
