Texas State Art and Design Award winners announced

The Texas State graduate and undergraduate programs in the School of Art and Design had healthy representation at the Art Directors Club of Houston 2009 Award Show.

Even healthier, though, are the 30 plus awards won by students of the  program at this year’s event.

“Our success at the awards show is a credit to the instructors and the students, and puts a great light on our faculty and the Communication Design programs – both graduate and undergraduate,” said Christine Haney, Communication Design MFA program, School of Art and Design.  “Earning the awards not only gives the students positive reinforcement for their efforts, it is also a valuable recognition to exhibit on a resume for future employment.”

The awards were given at a presentation in Houston on Nov. 13 at the Doubletree Hotel. The judges were professionals, teachers and students in the fields of art, advertising and graphic design.

The Art Directors Club of Houston is a non-profit organization for professional, teachers and students of advertising and graphic design.
