Shooting 47 percent, the Texas State women’s basketball team improved to 2-1 Monday night with a 65-51 win against Southwestern Assemblies of God at Strahan Coliseum.
Chika Ofoegbu led the Bobcats with 13 points, followed by Kelsey Krupa with 12. Krupa scored all of her points from behind the three-point arc, hitting four of six shots from the distance.
The Bobcats took a 29-22 lead at halftime and blew it out to 48-31 with five minutes left in the game.
Texas State outrebounded Southwestern Assemblies, 40-32.
The Bobcats are off until after Thanksgiving, when they go to the Coors Rocky Mountain Invitational in Fort Collins, CO, on Nov. 27-28. The Bobcats will play Colorado State Friday at 7 p.m.
