Tanger Outlet bracing for 'Midnight Madness'

STAFF REPORT

Christmas shopping frenzy officially starts the day after Thanksgiving, much because so many people are free from work at their regular jobs until the following Monday.

The most notorious shopping day of the year gets started a little early at Tanger Outlet Center in San Marcos, which is preparing for its fourth annual Midnight Madness and After Thanksgiving Weekend Sale.

“This is a holiday shopping event that millions of Tanger customers really get excited about because of the great savings to scoop up,” said Steven B. Tanger, President and CEO for Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, Inc. “This year, more than ever, holiday shoppers are looking for ways to save more on their holiday gift giving. Midnight Madness at Tanger is a great way to find quality, brand name and designer products and make your holiday shopping budget stretch much further.”

Midnight Madness at Tanger means the mall will be open at midnight on Thanksgiving night. The event consists of bargain coupons, a strolling Santa, a KSMG live radio remote, and a chance for the first 250 shoppers who register their visit at Tanger Shopper Service to recieve a free PJ Moose. The pajama clad plush moose is the fourth in a series of Tanger collectible holiday gifts.

If shoppers miss the “madness,” there will be additional sales and events throughout the weekend at Tanger. On Saturday, morning the first 250 early shoppers who register with Shopper Services will receive a free pack of Harry and David’s Moose Munch. However, do not feed this to a moose (it is a crunchy snack for human consumption only).
