STAFF REPORT

Favorite literature came to life last week for the students and staff at San Marcos CISD’s Hernandez Elementary School as they hosted their First Annual Book Parade.

Students were asked to dress as their favorite book characters and a campus parade was held later in the afternoon, filling the school with Princess Jasmines, scarecrows, cowboys, fairies and much more. Everyone got to showcase their favorite books and literary characters. The staff seemed to enjoy the day almost as much as the students.

Community leaders came throughout the day to read to students.

  1. That’s my charming daughter Michaela as the ugly bug. And the costume is the great work of Diana Wood.
