STAFF REPORT

Miller Middle School’s elective classes got together recently to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month with an event in which all participants shared their skills and work efforts.

The evening opened with the Miller Dancing Diamond officer’s salsa performance. Most of the artwork and decorations were contributed by the art department and the art club. The Spanish department displayed its student projects for the semester and organized the evening’s activities.

The grand finale of the event was a special dance performance from El Baile Folklorico Bravo de Rincon Universitario, a student group from Texas State University.

The students felt genuinely involved in the observance and volunteered their time and efforts, giving the evening special meaning. They solicited donations from local businesses which were given as prizes.
