UPD investigates student suicide

The Texas State University Police Department (UPD) is investigating the apparent suicide of a student whose body was found Monday morning on university property.

The body of David B. Edwards, 23, a freshman from Kerrville, was found early Monday morning by his brother, James Edwards, a Texas State graduate student. The two brothers lived together at an off-campus residence.

Police were notified of the discovery at 4:26 a.m. by James Edwards and were dispatched to an abandoned building on the hillside above Spring Lake. A suicide note was found at the scene.

An autopsy has been ordered.

  1. I wonder if he was found in that replica of a Spanish mission that’s on the hill? There’s a Virgin Mary statue on an altar in the mission, which is made of stone and basically consists of one little room.
